Leon died either while Jane was pregnant, or just after the birth of son Benjamin Leon Miers in London c 1836. It was noted that Jane was a widow when, 2 years later, she married Samuel Flatau on 2 November 1837, also in the Great Synagogue London. Both marriages are recorded in the Great Synagogue Marriage Record book, so it is reasonable to assume that both Benjamin's birth & Leon's death would also be registered in the Great Synagogue Birth & Death Record books. I have tried to access these records from several Jewish websites but find them quite hard to navigate & have not been able to locate anything. Is there anyone out there who can help please?
