As follows is what I know for facts: Joseph was born in PA in 1803 to and Abraham & Elizabeth Meyer. Joseph died in 1891 Calhoun Co., MI at age 88. Jane Vanosdoll was born in 1811 likely to a Simon VanOsdol. She died in Ashland Co., OH in 1868. Joseph & Jane had at least 4 known children: Peter, Mary, John, and Permilia. These kids were all born in OH from abt. 1836 to 1845. Peter Jackson Moyer m. Catharine Holmes in Wayne Co., OH in 1866 and had 6 known children: Joseph, Simon, William Curtis, Eliza Jane, Arizona, and Montana. Peter served in the Civil War (Union) and died in 1913 in Charlotte, MI. Particularly, any information regarding Joseph Moyers parents (Abraham and Elizabeth) would be great. I found their names on Joseph's death certificate but it lists Elizabeth's last name as 'Meyer' and I am highly uncertain of this statement.
