She believes her birth mother's name was Dorothy Meyer(s) but she wasn't sure of the spelling of the name. However, my friend was born in Oklahoma in the 1940s. Her adoption was handled through the Catholic Charities and from what she told me, they won't give her any information about her birth mother. Would you know if your Dorothy Meyer ever had occasion to come to Oklahoma, particularly the Oklahoma City area in the 1940s?
