I'm trying to break my brick wall. Michael Moyer (Meyer) was born 10 Feb 1804, died 24 Jun 1875. He married Sarah (Sallie) Fox (c1809-c1870) on 09 Mar 1830. They had the following issue: Phillip Fox Moyer Adam Fox Moyer Michael Fox Moyer (my ancestor) Elizabeth Fox Moyer Solomon Fox Moyer Henry Fox Moyer George Fox Moyer Sarah Fox Moyer John Fox Moyer George Fox Moyer 2 infants, died in infancy. Yes, as the family stories go, the children were all named with the middle name of Fox. It is also stated that Sallie sat on her daughter in law's pies! Whether the sitting on the pies is true or a spin of the truth is unknown, but humerous. My line migrated to Kansas and we have, in the family, the Moyer apple butter tub (which is huge and copper and beautiful and converted into a sitting room table). The apple butter kettle did come from the Pennsylvania Moyers via train to Kansas and is purported to be from the 1700s. My great grandmother, Sallie, daughter of Michael Fox Moyer and Annie Greenawalt, was 14 at the time of the migration, which would have put the migration c.1878.
