For all births before 1904, the only record is referred to as "Doctor/Birth Returns" Apparently, on a weekly or monthly basis, doctors were required to submit a record of all births they delivered. This typically included date, parents names, fathers occupation, residence, physician's name/address... Originally, I thought that this Herman William Meyer might be related to my Meier/Meyer relatives, but at this point, it does not look likely. My Meyer ancestors were born in Switzerland. Anyway, the record I posted was the DOCTOR/BIRTH RETURN for the person you are looking for. I saw your post, and thought I'd help you out by posting it for you. It is on microfilm at the Phila. Archives.. but I don't believe it has any additional information than what I posted. Hope it helps, Chris Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
