    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: amstutzp0443 Surnames: Meyer/Moyer/Myers Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.meyer/2179.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have been searching for the father of Johann Meyer/Moyer..d.1829...mrd. Anna Maria Wuchter..had 7 children..a weaver by trade. In his will it mentions the possibility of two brothers...Solomon and Charles/Carl Friederich. In both the 1810 & 1820 PA Census for Lehigh Co., I find listed a Charles, Solomon, and Johann...however those names are so common, and families used them again and again so that may not mean anything. In all my research I've never found Johann's father. Maybe it's your Johannes, or possibly the other Johan listed in your message. I've entertained the idea that perhaps Johann's parents/father were deceased before he came to the US, and that possibly he was raised by another family...coming into the US maybe it was assumed he belonged to that family, and his actual father's name was never listed anywhere on the records..passenger lists or anything. Anyway, the names Johannes, Johan, and Friederich Meyer gave me a little hope that perhaps they are rel! ated in some way to the Johan I'm researching. I go to the Fort Wayne IN library often to do geneaology. The next time I go I will see if I can find anything on your Johannes and Friederich. Anything I find I will send you right away. Who knows...maybe together we can break down some of these brick walls. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
