He was my Gt. Grandfather and at the time of his marriage to Ann Heath he was Gorg Carl R.C . it was anglicised on his marriage. His father was also called George Carl his profession was put as “ Gentleman”. George jnr and Ann were married at St. Annes Church Birkenhead Cheshire in the county of Chester.George’s profession was given as a Mariner he was also a clerk at the German Consulate in Liverpool. Later b.17.15.1964 Timothy Mark b.28.03.1968.My grandmother Ann Lucy died 25 th August 1934. he lived in Parkfield House in Gt. Meols where he became a market gardener. All the children were born in Gt.Meols Cheshire. I am descended from Ann Lucy b. 30th July 1876 who married Frederick Albert Smith in Liverpool, before moving to live in West Kirby a village not far from Meols. They had 5 children of which one was my father Frank Leslie Smith . I married Derek Brown and we have 4 children: Gillian Susan b.12.12.1960, Andrew Robin b.17.03.1962, Christopher Simon In answer to your query re.George Charles R.C . Yes they did have the same name all very confusing when there are three of them! No wonder we could not find them on the 1901 census they (the men) had all left the country! With reference to baby Oscar he died shortly after birth aged 36hours on 28th Feb.1883 and Ann on 7th Mar.1883 . Hope this helps you in your research .If you could let me have a copy of the photo of GGgrandfather it would be appreciated nice to know what they looked like , I’ve asked my cousins but they had’nt any. I by the way am Sheila Veronica Brown(nee Smith)
