Hi Melissa - I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. I have Birtha/Bertha Meyer on the 1900 Browning Twp, Taylor County census, born Aug 1844 Germany. She is listed with her two sons, Joseph (17 - Oct 1874) and Theodore (14 - Nov 1877). The census states she had 8 children and that 8 children were still alive at the time of the census but they are not shown. Her husband is said to be Peter. The census states she came to the USA in 1897 and the two sons came in 1891 and both were naturalized. A further son is believed to be Arthur and he may have been in Minnesota Lakes, Fairbault County, MN. Theodore Meyer is shown in 1901 as living in Browning Twp, Taylor County when he marries Sophie ASMUS and they married in Medford Twp, Taylor County. In 1902 a daughter, Alice Meyer, is born in Milwaukee and in 1904 a son, Glen Cornelius Joseph Meyer, is born in Milwaukee, WI. This family eventually ended up in Saskatchewan about 1906. Do any of these names seem familiar to you?
