He was a proud graduate of the University of Texas. He served with the National Guard for many years. Carroll retired from Shell Oil Company in 1993 after 36 years of employment. He was an Elder and active member of St. John's Presbyterian Church. He volunteered with Braes Interfaith Ministries. Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pansy B. Meyer of Houston; mother, Isabelle Meyer of Austin; brother and sister-in-law, William Eugene and Patsy Meyer of Walnut Creek, CA; sister and brother-in-law, Marigold and Louis Metzler of Austin; four nieces, one nephew and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 3 :00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m Sunday December 27, 1998 at Earthman Bellaire Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday December 28, 1998 at St. John's Presbyterian Church, 5020 W. Bellfort, with Rev. John Arthur Shute officiating.
