I show their marriage date as 09/10/1850 in St. Clair County, Ill. I am researching the Godell name as I am descended of Mary Ann Godell....Magdalena's younger sister. Mary Ann married William R. Smith of Liverpool England. I have info on their (Godell family) arrival in this country as well.... Magdalena is on the ships passenger list but I can't find her on the 1850 which is odd as she and Frederick were married that year in St. Clair...unless he resided in another county?
