Bill was born in Chicago, but was a longtime resident of Las Vegas, since 1961. He was a well-known local scenic artist. Some of his notable work consists of stage work for the BeeGees, Starlight Express, The Nutcracker and The Lord of the Dance. Some of his passions over the years, other than art, include the Chicago Cubs, hiking, skydiving, flying planes, scuba diving, traveling, hot fudge sundaes, and writing poetry to accompany his artistic creations. Mr. Bill was a special person and he generously shared his abilities and many talents to enrich the lives of those around him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bill is survived by his son, William "Billy" Meyer; his daughters, Irene Farnham, Jennifer Owen and Stephanie Donnelly; and foster daughter, Savanah. He also had eight grandchildren; and three brothers, Herm, Paul and Danny Meyer. Funeral services will be at 10! a.m. Thursday April 23, at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road.
