Many Germans fled to America from Antwerp. Especially during 1848 when there was a great upheaval going on in Frankfurt. Young men were trying to overthrow the government but were not successful. They were forced to flee the country and were disowned by their families. My Frederick Daniel Meyer left Germany during 1848 on the ship 'Louis' from Antwerp. Do you tie up to him?
