Author: jomeyer13 Surnames: Meyer, Sturrn Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.meyer/3173.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: If that is the case the newspaper might have recorded his suspicious death. I know Martin county is so fussy about giving out death vitals or certificates of death. That one would be interesting to see. I tried to get newspapers of morrison county mn, but not much there through heritage quest. If the one son was born in mn. He should have been in the census. [I forget at the moment the year he immigrated.] I will try again at newspapers at ancestry.com. for morrison county. Yes I saw the 1895. They at least let you see the census. the church infor should have something. maybe they immigrated with another family and so some shirt tail relatives. Back then a woman had to get married to be taken care of. Sturm must have offered right away. Maybe Heinrick died at a young age. goodluck Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. They were in Pike Creek then. He was alive in 1895 but both he and Heinrick disappeared from the records and Berth married Gustav Sturm in 1897. I believe they may have been killed. I have no proof of anything except it is writen in a Meyer book in his obit. I have a Juergen Hch. Frd. Meyer Juergen Hch. Wilhelm Meyer. Mystery Meyer stayed in germany Mystery Meyer went to Oregon. By the way My Anna Seil Meyer born 1892 in iowa.Lived at Fieldon Watonwan county,Mn I have an interst in Diedrick Meyer of Dahlenburg I think He was a person who immigrated to goodhue. Yours however were at Morrison county. Did you find out any thing at the church. I know mn has that cemetery inscripition. Nothing through Cemetery search?. Also anything through the county area for Naturalization. Land ownership? Diederick died and she remarried Sturm? Were you ever able to find his ship passage. Henry may have had his name changed to Meier or Myer. I found my Luhman as Luman in Nebraska. I was checking cemeteries and found her that way. Of course I knew who she married. Finding a Henry meyer is like searching for a one special marked shell at the beach. Did you say where they were from in germany? I am going to dig a bit more. Hope you have good luck. Author: FrankSturm Surnames: Meyer, Dimmel, Sturm Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.meyer/3173/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am looking for any information on Diedrick Meyer and his son Heinrick. They last show up in a 1895 Territorial State censues from Minnesota. Diedrick was born about 1857 in Germany, he married Bertha Dimmel in 1884 in Janesville, Minnesota she came from Germany in 1882. I don't know when Diedrick came. They had 4 children, Heinrick 1886, Frank Emil 1889, Anna 1892 and Fred 1894. In 1897 Bertha married Gustav Sturm, they had three children. Martha 1898, Edward 1900 and Louise 1910. All children were born in Minnesota. Does anyone have any connection to this family. We think Diedrick may have died between 1895 and 1897. I can find no records on Heinrick Meyer or Anna and Fred Sturm. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. The son of my lineage went to Eichdorf. They both at some times lived at Neetzendorf. Some records were at Dahlenburg. For Heinrich meyer born 1817,the towns of interest are Weste, and Himbergen church records. His name was Hinrich or Heinrich Meyer. His wife was Ratzmann. Her Parents were Ratzman and Lietz. I will post more later. If anyone else has RATZMANN OR LIETZ write me a LETTER. Or Meyer from those areas. I suspect altenmedigen involved...Romstedt. The father came from Radenbeck. I also suspect that if any of the grimm, lietz, schulz linage may have gone to Michigan. I have found some interesting trees with many of the shared surnames with immigration to Huroncty., Michigan.
