Dear listers Can anybody please assist with these KAB references? The info in them might help to fill inthe two to three generation gap between the (possibly) twins Frederik Johannes Adolph and Nicolaas Casparus MEYER, both baptised on 20 October 1819,and my great-grandfather Frederik Casparus MEYER. The first three records refer to a Nicolaas Casparus MEYER before 1900: MOOC 7/1/205 45 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. INVENTORY. 1851 1851 MOOC 7/1/205 45 KNOETZE, MAGDALENA CATHARINA. WIFE OF NICOLAAS CASPARUS MEYER. 1851 1851 MOOC 7/1/342 39 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. WILL. 1853 1853 MOOC 7/1/342 39 VERMAAK, SARA SALOMINA. WIFE OF NICOLAAS CASPARUS MEYER. WILL. 1853 1853 MOOC 13/1/309 61 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. LIQUIDATION AND DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNTS. 1871 1875 The next four records refer to two Nicolaas Casparus MEYER's, after 1900. Could be descendants of the man in the previous records. MOOC 6/9/778 586 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. DEATH NOTICE. 1915 1915 MOOC 13/1/2836 94 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. LIQUIDATION AND DISTRIBUTION ACCOUNT. 1917 1917 MOOC 6/9/23532 396/55 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. ESTATE PAPERS. 1955 1955 MOOC 6/9/23918 712/56 MEYER, NICOLAAS CASPARUS. ESTATE PAPERS. 1956 1956 The next two records refer to a Hermanus Nicolaas Casparus MEYER. Could also be a descendant of the man in the first five records. MOOC 6/9/570 1301 MEYER, HERMANUS NICOLAAS CASPARUS. DEATH NOTICE. 1907 1907 MOOC 13/1/1633 65 MEYER, HERMANUS NICOLAAS CASPARUS. LIQUIDATION AND DISTRIBUTION 1908 1908 The next record refers to the death notice of Jan Willem Hendrik MEYER - a brother of the "twins". MOOC 6/9/379 2186 MEYER, JAN WILLEM HENDRIK. DEATH NOTICE. 1898 1898 The last record refers to a mortgage bond of a Frederik Johannes MEYER. DOC 4/1/1323 2516 MORTGAGE BOND. FREDERIK JOHANNES MEYER. 1908 1908 Brick walls are there to show us how badly we want something! Any help breaking this one down will be gratefully received! Regards Ingrid Mohr

I still have to work with google maps better. You wont see much for maps here yet. I hope to change that soon. It is badly needed. My family surnames came from the river Elbe area on the west side. The Heins and other surnames also came from Bergen Celle region. Here are two blogs of mine that describe the family members at each place. they are always a work in progress. the whole thing is about the different people in different villages. Including some pages from the well known Heinrich Borstelmanns book. http://arootdigger.blogspot.com/ http://wwwarootdigger.blogspot.com/ This should clear up a lot of my errors that I made starting out. I once thought Oldendorf was Oldenburg. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I was so excited! My husband is a direct descendant of Louisa Sieburg Meyer. She was born in Arlington Heights, IL in 1855 and died in Chicago, IL in 1913. She was married to my husband's Gr-Great Grandfather, Henry Meyer in 1872. Her obituary mentions, two brothers, Wilhelm and Fred Sieburg and two sisters, Mrs. John Luessmann and Mrs. John Steinhauer. Your photo just let me learn their first names! I would love to have a copy of this photo. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
