You are the first person I've run into yet with info on this family !I would love to share data. I know little about Perry (he was 26 in 1910) but know more about his wife, my great great aunt Abbie S. Murphy . They had a son Harold (also Harrold) b. ~1908. They were living in Williamsport Pa in 1910. In 1920 I found Abbie and 12 year old son Harold living with her brother, her mother, and his family in Philadelphia. She is listed as a widow. I am wondering if Perry could have been in WWI and died???Please email me at [email protected] I would love to have dates and places on his family . Many thanks - Diane Land in PA

Leander was born 10 January, 1856 in Perryville, PA. I don't have much info on Perry but he had a brother named Howard and a sister named Della. His parents were married in 1877 so that gives you an idea of this Perry's age. Leander's father was Martin W. Meyer, son of Martin Meyer, my great-great-great-grandfather. I have more info if you're interested. Hope this helps! Cindy<><

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/oh0.2ACEB/537.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: 18 December 2002 Janet, Based on information which I've recently received from a German researcher, the Christopher in my line was probably born between 1840 and 1846 in a town in Wuerttemberg called KIrchheim unter Teck, which is southeast of Stuttgart. He arrived in New York in mid-nineteenth century quite poor and alone. A start similar to many who left Europe for the US. Family legend has it that he left what we today call Germany with an Uncle named Gottlieb, who was never a factor in young Christopher's life once he arrived in NYC.Whether Gottlieb died onboard ship (one theory) or they parted in some other way is a mystery. I don't recognize the Strom name. We have Fishers and Larkins and Grubers. I did have rrelatives in Mt. Vernon named Bianco. Best of luck. Alfred

    3. Hello, I am looking for information on the family of Alexander Meyer, who in the 1880 census was 50 years of age and resided in Wayne County, MI. His wife, Mary, and three children, John, Alex and Louisa, are also mentioned. John's family (I believe) appears in the 1900 census with his wife, Emma, and children, Amos, Oscar, Florence, Alex and Dorothy. I am looking for ANY further information about this family, such as when Alex and Mary emigrated to the US. I would also like to know of any descendents of this group. Thanks.
