For future researchers ... I have NO Documentation concerning this man. At such time as I am able to prove this I will repost using the same subject heading. I have the name Augustus Frederick MAIER, the father of Christina MAIER. She was born 6 Aug 1800 in PA, possibly in the area of Northampton or Lehigh Co. His wife may have been Boram MILLER. The name came from the records of a certified lineage specialist some 20 years ago. When I contacted her a number of years later she was unable to give me the source. She was elderly at that time and perhaps unable to locate her source. She has since died and I have been unable to find out what happened to her research. Christina MAIER married 11 Dec 1820 in Lehigh Co. PA to John Francis GILTNER / GUILDNER. They removed to MI about 1835 first settling in Branch County. Their first 7 children were born in Allentown, Lehigh, PA. The last child a daughter, was born in Branch Co. in 1836. Both died in Mendon, St. Joseph Co. MI. Christina's death certificate simply states her parents were Mr. & Mrs. MEYERS. The spelling of MAIER was given to me by the lineage specialist, however it may be incorrect. Thanks, Joyce Hambleton Whitten 762 County Road 502 Monette, Arkansas 72447-9113 [email protected]

Fellow Researchers, In search of info on Joseph MYERS (b. ca. 1770s). Joseph cleared a tract of land near modern day Lilly and Cassandra, PA. It was then known as "Dundee". It was subsequently opened as a mining venture by his son Michael and his two sons Adam and Matthew. Need supporting data confirming that Joseph and wife, Catherine (believed to be CASSIDY) had a son, Michael. Records I've been able to locate show ONLY three children, Catherine, Lucy and Joseph - NO Michael (?). CAN ANYONE HELP? with this or any other information regarding this Joseph MYERS. -Thanks > Frank M.

There are no Browns and no cooperages in the index. My Fred Meyer, who worked at Pioneer Cooperage was born in Hermann, MO which was a Big German community and known for its wine production. I have found nothing more than what you shared on Pioneer Cooperage itself. I did get a couple emails on the company on the St. Louis Mail List. Good luck in your research. Ginny
