    1. [MEYER] Johanna Christine MEYER LAUSEN LAUSEN JLEUES of Galveston, Houston (1854-1922)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: MEYER, LAUSEN, JLEUES Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/oh0.2ACEB/1784 Message Board Post: Am looking for further information on Johanna Christine Meyer Lausen Lausen Jleues. Johanna was born June 16, 1854. She married Peter William Lausen on April 30, 1872 in Galveston. They had at least three children: William Lausen, born 1872; Anna Lausen, born 1874, and Johanna Lausen, born 1876. Then, after Peter died, she married Christian Heinrich Lausen, on March 15, 1881, also in Galveston. Christian (who may not even have been related to Peter) was already living with her in 1880, while his divorce from his wife, Dorothea Maria Sonn Lausen, was pending. They had at least one child together, but it died within days of it's birth. Christin died sometime around 1895 and then Johanna married J. Jleues on May 16, 1896, again in Galveston. She died on October 10, 1922 in Houston, TX. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who is descended from Johanna and/or who may have information on her, and/or her children and/or Johanna's lineage. Also, would be interested in hearing from anyone who could shed some light on Peter Lausen and Christian Lausen and their relationship to each other, if indeed one existed! Thanks!

At least you have given me some hope again! I am very interested in the info you may have regarding Otto Meyer and any of the siblings or parentage that you may have. I have searched frequently through census records, but have come up with much conflicting information. It seems that OTTO MEYER was a very popular name in the germanic communites back then, as well as daughters named Bertha. Please contact me directly at [email protected] and I would be willing to share the info I have on Otto and his offspring from his marriage to Martha Getzschmann with you if you are interested! Thanks for answeing my post Sharon
