B. on March 2nd, 1937, Mrs. Annie C. Shaw, widow of Robert J. Shaw, New Maryland, aged sixty-two years. Funeral tomorrow afternoon from the home of Mrs. A. C. Fleming, 379 Charlotte street. Service at 2.30 o'clock by Rev. Dr. George E. Ross and interment in Rural Cemetery extension. Death of Mrs. Robert Shaw. Friends everywhere will learn with deep regret of the death yesterday afternoon in Victoria Public Hospital of Mrs. Annie C. Shaw, widow of Robert J. Shaw of New Maryland, aged 62 years. Deceased was born at Springhill but early in life removed to New Maryland with her parents, the late David and Anne (McKay) Sinclair. She was one of the best known women in New Maryland, being for a time president of the New Maryland Women's Institute and active in the affairs of Saint Andrew's Presbyterian Church. She was possessed of a quiet unassuming manner, one who always looked on the bright side of life and by her bright disposition cheered others. In her home she was known for her kindness and hospitality and her death will leave a void in the community. She had not been in good health for some time but had only been really ill since February 14th. Three days ago she was admitted to the hospital and her death ensued late yesterday afternoon. Mr. Shaw died in 1928 and surviving are two sons, Roland B. Shaw, Fredericton, and Frederick W. Shaw, New Maryland; three daughters, Mrs. E. P. Everett, Marysville; Mrs. Greta Culligan, New Maryland, and Miss Ethel Shaw, at home; three brothers, David Sinclair, Fredericton; Wm. Sinclair, New Maryland, and Robert Sinclair, Dorchester, and a sister, Mrs. A. C. Fleming of Fredericton. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon with service at the home of her sister, Mrs. Fleming, 379 Charlotte street, at 2.30 o'clock by Rev. Dr. Geo. E. Ross and interment in Rural Cemetery extension. DIED. STAPLES At Marysville, N. B., April 24th, 1935, Elbridge B. Staples, aged seventy-two years. Funeral from his late home to-morrow afternoon with prayers at 2.30 o'clock followed by service at United Baptist Church by Rev. W. Steadman Smith and interment in Baptist Cemetery. Members of the Oddfellows Lodge will attend in a body and carry out their ritual at the grave. GIBSON At Marysville, N. B., September 30th, 1935, Alice, widow of John Gibson, aged seventy-five years. Funeral from her late home to-morrow afternoon with service at 2.30 o'clock by Rev. Mr. Oliver and interment in the family plot in the United Church of Canada Cemetery at Marysville.
