I have recently found a death certificate for my g-g-g aunt that stated her father's place of Birth as Calais Maine. His name was Thomas Foster and would have been born about 1818. Thomas married an Edith M. Clark and they moved to New Brunswick and eventually settled in Carleton County. Does anyone have any information about the Foster's from this region of Washington County?
