Hancock County Genealogical Society's May 20th meeting will be, as usual, at 2:30 PM in the Riverview Room of the Ellsworth Public Library. The business meeting includes final plans for our June Meeting's Field Trip to Castine. The program for the May meeting is a Search & Share Workshop which gives us all a chance to help each other on our varied genealogy projects, make suggestions for getting over brick walls, sharing resources, etc. Also: August 19th at the Town Hall in Orland Save that date for the Hancock County Genealogy Fair from 9 am to 3 pm This all day Genealogy event is FREE....and includes refreshments. This year it is held in Orland during Orland's Bicentennial Celebration The Town Office is on Schoolhouse Road. Come and bring your genealogy problems, share your resources, meet other genealogists.
