The annual Alexander/Crawford Historical Society Genealogy Fair will be held on Sat. July 8, 2000 at the Alexander Elementary School on Route 9 from 10-3. The annual Charlotte, ME Historical Society Genealogy Fair will be held on St., July 22, 2000 at the Charlotte Elementary School from 9-3. This will be at the end of a week long celebration of the town's 175 anniversary. At both fairs will be an extensive collection of Washington County genealogical information. Much of it is unpublished info. Come and join the fun. You might be rubbing elbows with a distant cousin that might have info about your elusive ancestors. If you are unable to attend, you might want to send a "Wanted Poster" about your ancestors. These will be displayed on the walls for the fair participants to see.
