Later he was in the service of the Provincial Government being a doorkeeper at the Parliament Buildings during the sessions of the Legislature. About 10 years ago he went ot Stamford to reside with his son. Many old friends will remember Mr. Smith for his kindly and courteous manner. He is survived by one son, John C. (There is a bad place in the clipping so that I have had to guess from what is showing that Mrs. Charters lived in Fredericton, and that the other sister was from Anaconda, Montana. The only thing readable in the second sister's surname is"Jud" with, judging by the space, three or four more letters after that.) DIED STAPLES At Marysville, N. B., May 5, 1935, Moses Staples, aged 78 years. Funeral on Monday afternoon with service by Rev. M. H. Manuel assisted by Rev. F. A. Dunlap and Rev. J. A.
