Smith, Aged 84, Was Well Known and Respected. The death occurred at Marysville last night of Mrs. Frances Louise Smith, wife of Albert E. Smith, at the age of 84 years. Mrs. Smith was born at Jacksonville but had lived for a great many years at Marysville where she was held in the highest esteem by all who knew her. She was most active in the affairs of the church of which she was a member, even after she was unable to attend service, and also deeply interested in the affairs of the town, working for its betterment. She was also kind and considerate to those less fortunate than herself and many will learn of her death with sincere regret. She had only been ill a short time and her death comes as a surprise to many. She is survived by her husband, four sons, Fraser Smith, Anaconda, Mont.; Roy E. Smith, Boston; Herbert Smith, Devon; and four daughters, Mrs. James Mellen, Holden, Mass.; Miss Jennie Smith, R. N., San Diego, Chili; Mrs. J. B. Armstrong, Detroit, and Mrs. Arthur Tait, Marysville. The funeral will take place Saturday afternoon with service at her late home at 2.30 o'clock by Rev. W. Steadman Smith and interment made in the United Baptist Cemetery, Marysville. DIED. SMITH — Entererd into rest at Marysville, N. B. March 19th, 1938, Mrs. Catherine Smith, widow of Cornelius A. Smith, aged ninety-two years. Funeral from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold F. Fisher, on Monday afternoon with service at two o'clock by Rev. W. Steadman Smith and interment in the Nashwaak Village Cemetery. DIED. CHARTERS — At Fredericton, N. B. on November 29th, 1936, Mrs. Lavina A. Charters, widow of James Charters, aged seventy-eight years. Funeral tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Hudson, Marysville, at 2.30 o'clock. Service by Rev. W. Steadman Smith and interment in Baptist Cemetery, Marysville. DIED. CHARTERS — At New Maryland, N. B. May 29, 1935, Charles Charters, aged eighty-one years. Funeral from his late home on Friday afternoon with service at the house by Rev. Charles Foote at 2 p. m. and interment in Rural Cemetery at Fredericton, N. B.
