Greetings, I may have posted a similar question before but have since come across a few more clues. I am trying to find the names of the parents of one of my ancestors, Phoebe Ann Keyes (b. abt. 1805) in MA. She married Andrew Harrington III in Eastport, ME. I suspect she may be related (daughter or sister) to Jonas Temple Keyes (son of Israel Keyes and Dorothy Temple, b. 28 OCT 1788 in MA, died 29 OCT 1831 in Eastport, ME)who moved to Eastport from Massachusetts. Jonas married Nancy the widow of Robert Harrington. That Robert was the uncle of Andrew Harrington III and brother of Andrew's father Andrew Harrington II. A daughter of Jonas is listed in several FTM sites. Her name was Dolly Temple Keyes and she married John Bent. Phoebe Ann Keyes and her husband Andrew Harrington III had nine children. They named their first Israel K. Harrington (I suspect for Israel Keyes). There seventh child, John Bent Harrington, my ancestor, was possibly named for John Bent, the husband of Dolly Keyes. I hypothesize that John Bent may have been John B. Harrington's Godfather. I seem to recall records listing a Rev. Jonas T. Keyes and that may explain why he would migrate from MA to way downeast. Does anyone on the list know the parents of Phoebe Ann Keyes? Was she Jonas T. Keyes' daughter, sister, or cousin? Does anyone know who her parents were?
