Dear Listers: There is no business meeting of the Hancock County Genealogy Society on Saturday, June 17th! Instead we are going on a Field Trip to Castine to tour the Wilson Museum and the Perkins House. Our Program Chairwoman has arranged for us to meet Patty Hutchins at 1 p.m. at the Museum, which is located on Perkins Street in Castine. She will get us all started on our way through the Museum, which is FREE, and we can continue through the Perkins House ($4.00). Ordinarily these facilities are open from 2-5 p.m. so if you cannot make the earlier time you may come later. Carpool if you can. We hope we'll see you there. Also, a reminder that the July 15th meeting is at its normal place and time: Ellsworth Library's Riverview Room with guest, John Fernald, at 2:30 p.m. August 19th is the Genealogy Fair in Orland. Sept. 16th is a Search & Share meeting. October 7th is the Genealogy Conference and Annual Meeting of the Maine Genealogical Society being hosted by HCGS in Ellsworth on Saturday, Oct. 7th.
