Dear Listers: Saturday (tomorrow) Oct. 21, the HCGS will have its regular meeting at 2:30 pm at the Riverview Room of the Ellsworth Library. Ralph Stanley from Southwest Harbor will be speaking about the Gertrude Carroll diaries which have recently come to light. They were written from 1888 until just before her death in 1917. Anyone with any interest in genealogy or history of our area is very welcome to attend these meetings. We always have a pretty good time; and as a bonus we get an excuse to spend time upstairs at the Library's Whittier Collection which is one of the best genealogy resources in the State.
