Hi Listers, Apologies for multiple list posts. I'm looking for someone who has Family Tree Maker CD #501, Immigrants to Pennsylvania 1600s-1800s as I need a lookup. Particularly interested in surname MAXWELL, from 1766-1776. I know that my ancestor James MAXWELL came to Schuykill River area near Philadelphia from Armagh Northern Ireland with his widowed mother and 2 brothers. Family history says they were of Scottish descent. James apprenticed with a potter and then joined in the American Revolution as a driver w/the Flying Artillery. Along with his friend Thomas GRIMMER (whose wife was Lydia WEY) they subsequently evacuated from New York to Shelbourne Nova Scotia in 1784. Eventually they were granted land in St. Stephen, Charlotte County, New Brunswick. James never saw his mother or two brothers again due to distance. I am attempting to track his mother and brothers down. I have determined that there was an Ann MAXWELL from Ireland, who was indentured to Robert Carson in Philadelphia for 3 yrs on 19 Oct. 1771, and another/same? Ann MAXWELL indentured to Thomas JONES in Hill Town tsp. Bucks Co., for 3 yrs. on 27 Nov. 1771. So if any lister has a Family Tree Maker CD with reference to Pennsylvania in the 1766-1776 time period, I would very much appreciate a Lookup on MAXWELL. I'm trying to cover all lists in the hopes that I can solicit a wider audience. Thank you so much for listening. Marilyn Maxwell Strout
