I know very little about the Demmons, Demons or Damons. Deulah was undoubtedly, though, dau of Gamaliel Demmons, he the only one of these surnames in Machias in this period and the only one in Wash Co to use this spelling. that he is the person you are looking for is confirmed in Gamaliel's Rev War Pension File @24030 in which Stephen Gardner represents Gamaliel's widow is living with him and that he, Stephen, had married a dau of Sol & wid. Gamaliel b Duxbury, MA Jan 1754. One David Gardner attested that Gamaliel's widow Helena was nee Gardner and he was at her wedding. I suspect this is David Jr, and Helena may be his sister.
