Dear Tina, I'm from Washington County, graduated from Lubec High School and was in Eastport to highschool for half a year or so. I did not know anyone named Golding or Golden in those areas but since the name is not seen that often, I wanted to let you know of an area where I did know a Golden family - in Bangor. In approximately 1950 I worked and roomed in Bangor, in a house owned by an elderly couple, the Goldens. Sorry that I can't remember their first names, but I can remember that they were lovely people, a true gentlewoman and gentleman. Mr. Golden had a son, I believe, in Stockton Springs or he dated someone there - seems to me it was Frank Golden, must have been in his late 20's or early 30's. I think that Frank Golden was Mrs. Golden's (my landlady) stepson. I am really sorry to sound so vague, but if you have a way to check Bangor, Maine in 1949-1950's, you might turn up some info.
