hello everyone, from some of the messages posted I think some may have misunderstood the reason for my anger. I am not against sharing information, actually I'm all for it, but in good faith. I am an active contributor to the free information at Rootsweb and agree that without sharing this hobby would be very difficult to do and enjoy. What I am against is the not giving people credit for the work that they have done. If someone provides me with information I make sure I list them as the source. I also agree that family information in itself (Vitals etc) do not belong to anyone; however, the actual joining of the individual parts does belong to the person who has taken the time and energy and spent the money to do the work. I realize that not everyone agrees, and that is fine. It's the differences in opinion that make these rootslist such a great place, and I value everyone's opinions. Warm wishes, Leanne Elliott Soden
