    1. [MEWASHIN-L] William Allen/Allan of Lubec
    2. Valdine C. Atwood
    3. Many thanks to Newell Hall who directed me to the Early Families of Gouldsboro for the ancestry of the William Allan of Lubec who had a daughter Priscilla. This family is not related to Col. John Allan as I had hoped but at least we now have been able to find his parents. Thanks again Newell for your assistance. 1. [MEWASHIN-L] Campbell-Wakefield
    2. Valdine C. Atwood
    3. Thanks to everyone who responded to my queries on Dennison Campbell, wife Martha Wakefield. Dennison seems to have 'sprung from the earth' and although he is listed as being from Steuben and Harrington there still is no record of who his parents are and where he was born. He did die young and left her with 5 children to raise. She later remarried Alexander Campbell... Martha's Wakefield family is well documented if anyone is interested.. will be glad to share... 3. Seek parents of Dennison Campbell of Harrington, Maine who was born 22 Feb. 1813 and died and is buried in the Rock Maple Cemetery in Harrington. He was married to Martha Wakefield, daughter of Daniel and Priscilla (Allen) Wakefield. When Daniel died he left Martha with at least 4 minor children (1850 census of Harrington). 1. Re: [MEWASHIN-L] 1820 census?
    2. Laura Meeks
    3. Hi Heather, Take a look at the email message I sent you on 15 March 2000. The "Stoks" listed on the 1820 index is actually "Moses" whom I gave you the info on, believe it or not. Looking at Moses's name, I can see how someone may have read it as "Stoks," even though I immediately read it as "Moses." I've made hard copies of all the the info I typed up on COLSONs. If you're interested in having them, email me your snail-mail addy and I'll ship them out tomorrow. I'll happily make a copy of the John COLSON info in Plantation #9, too. 3. I am researching CARPENTER families in Eastport. I have 2 vital records and 1 Pension file that says Thomas Edwin Carpenter was born there 1828, yet I can't fit him into any of the families. He should have a sister named Elizabeth and a mother named Eliza. His father' name is given in 3 different records as "Thomas, James or William" Any suggestions for me? I have looked at some Charlotte County and NB lines, but no proof of his parents. Does anyone know how far an area might have been considered "Eastport"? I searched the records at Augusta and at Eastport though I live in Illinois behind that large Brick Wall. Thank you for any help Sharyn Carpenter Herian.
