    3. Burnham went to Madison from Troy when his widowed mother, Elizabeth McKusick Estes, married Asa Nichols. He was listed in the 1880 and 1910 Madison census. The History of Madison, page 50 of the new version, refers to the "late" Burnham Estes and seems to be in an article presented in 1903. Does someone have information on this man? Marian

July 16, 1876: married Samuel Shaw of Belfast ME(had children) IX.Joseph6 , b May 30, 1842. married Deborah Warden Here are a few highlights from Estes Genealogy: First Generation: Richard,son of Robert and Dorothy Estes born third month, 1647: and as the Friends records of Lynn(MA) state"who lived in England till the eleventh day of seventh month, 1684, and by a certificate from ye people of God in Newington, East Kent, Eng. were married at Dover NH 23, fourth month, 1687, to Elizabeth Beck, Great Island(Portsmouth NH). His marriage license is also in Estes Genealogy. Richard was accompanied to this country by his brother Matthew. ---
