    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Moreau, King Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UEB.2ACE/125.1.1.1.2.2.1.1 Message Board Post: To Kathleen De Marco I got your message and I thank you for the dates on John and Flora King. On Flora's record of marriage, I had asked Greenville Town Clerk on 23 Mar 2006 for: "The record of marriage for John Sirois A.K.A. John King and Flavie "Flora" Moreau. (married 11 Jun 1890, at Greenville, ME) They said they did not have the record. I'll try again. On Fannie's Record of marriage her name was Fannie Morrill. For Dora, Derumene Morrill. For Rose, Rosie M. Morrill. And you say for Flora, Flora Moro. At St. Joseph' Church she is recorded as 'Flavie "Flora" Moreau'. Exactly what name did she use on the record of her marriage? Were the parents of the bride and groom listed on Flora's record of marrage? If so could you share that information with me? The French names change when converted to English. They are also changed by the recorder of the records, who makes the conversion (from French to English) or tries to record what he or she hears. Some of the people in these records were illiterate and went with whatever the recorder wrote down. The records in these families could possibly be found under any of the following names: Moreau, Morrill, Morrell, Morow, Morrow, Merrow and Moro Gauvin, Grover King, Sirois, Roy, Roi, Desjardin, Lablebete I had figured out Rose and Dora's year of birth (1886) from their age when they got married. Is that how you got their age? If you had some other source of data I would be interested in the source. When twins were mentioned in the family it was about my aunt Beatrice (Plummer) King (married to John King son of John and Flora King) she had three set of twins. I checked with my aunt and she didn't know anything about Rose being a twin or triplet. Could you give me the dates for: Celestine (King) Ronco's birth, death, and marriage to John W. Ronco also for: John W. Ronco's birth, death I have a Family Group Sheet for the marriage of each of the four Moreau girls and add information as I find it. I have found the records for the "Moreau" line back to the 1600's so I use "Moreau" on my records but list whatever is on a record in the Sources: and Notes: for that family on the Family Group Sheet. They were all girls so the surname never got passed on. The only information I have on John King is the record of his marriage to Flora Moreau. John Sirois m. 11 Jun 1890 to Flavie "Flora" Moreau Old Town John Sirois' parents were: Ibert Sirois and Marguerite _____. Flavie "Flora" Moreau's parents were: Thomas Moreau and Darumene Gauvin at Greenville Wit: Solomon Dolbac and Mary Bouchet The rest of my information came from Celeste. I only had the years from her. You had the full dates. Did you find the information at the Bangor Daily News? Were you interested in it? With your help the information has been growing to give a better picture of these families. I have more information for you if you could E-mail me at <leo_plummer@msn.com>. Leo
