Do you have any connection to a Nellie Dore that married Amos Lawrence? Nellie born about 1864. Amos Lawrence born Sept. 5, 1854. They were in the Skowhegan and Hartland area. Nellie Dore died in childbirth. They had a daughter, Alice Mae Lawrence was born February 8, 1885. I may not have the spelling of Dore correct....as I have very little info. Alice Mae was my Grandfather's half-sister. She was said to be quite pretty and that as a young girl she went to the city (maybe New York) to become an actress.
