Surnames: McKay/Mains Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UEB.2ACE/498 Message Board Post: I am trying to find a death for a Margaret McKay Mains,b. abt. 1785.She married Joseph Mains in Woolwich,ME abt.1812; the family moved to Harmony,ME by the 1840,1850 & 1860 censuses.Joseph must have died bet. 1860-70 because Margaret is living in Brighton,ME in the 1870 census.She is living with her son-in-law & daughter,David & Lydia Mains Wyman, at the age of 84 yrs.She doesn`t appear again,so probably died in Brighton.I have tried to contact the plantation of Brighton with no luck.Would anyone have access to the Brighton town records or cemeteries?Thank you.
