For the person who was looking for Prescotts in some obscure place... Lexington Plt. Now keep in mind that Highland Plt. and Lexington Plt. are adjacent places. Both are pretty rural. They're up in the boonies, for sure. If you were to look at a map of today, Lexington is just outside North New Portland. "New Portland" has 3 villages - North, East, and West. They're all the same town - just little sections. Lexington and Highland Plts. are north west out of North New Portland. I have the 1860 Census of Lexington Plt. I found: John Prescott age 76y Farmer Liv w/ John Newall & Family he's listed as a farmer and born in Vermont John Prescott age 42y b. Maine Farmer Hannah C age 36 Alma age 14 Augusta E age 12 Henry age 10 James age 11 Franklin age 5 All born in Maine Does any of this ring a bell? Nancy > >
