With mixed emotions I have to say that what I have for now on Maine town histories just went online. I know that you are probably saying that you are glad that you won't be hearing from me after this, but as I work on other states I will be watching for more interesting things to add for Maine also. But you can breath a sigh of releighf as it will not be often like the past couple of Mounths. If I find any thing from this book that I mised I will add it, you will be able to find it using the search engions and at http://www.linkpendium.com , whare you can find a lot of links on Genealogy and History. If you have a web site you can also have your pages listed there, just use the link for suggesting a page from the page whare it should be listed. The files put online tonight are: New files for Lincoln County, Monhegan Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleborough, Somerville, Waldoborough, Westport, Whitesfield amd Wiscasset. These were typed by Doreen Crocker. New files for Somerset County, Starks and a somerset County History, typed by Betsey Webber There is one town in Maine whare I have the early marriages, when I looked at the PDF files for it I had about 300 copies of the same page??? Not much help there, but when I can get a good copy I will add them t the Marrage record section of my web site. Before leaving I would like to than all of you for being so patient and espically Gene, Betsey and Doreen for all the help in typing there. http://www.rays-place.com Cheers Ray Brown Bristol, CT
I guess I missed something here. I don't think anyone wants to see you go Ray. Your site is great and loaded with information we can use even if just to find out how our ancestors lived. THANK YOU for all your work.
