I have traced Holways back to Emanuel Holway living Culmstock, Devon, England. He lived 1827 - 1881 and was an agricultural labourer, and had 2 sons, Frank and my great grandfather, Richard. Richard moved to Camberwell, london - was there in 1881 census with wife Annie, nee Fry (Also from Culmstock) and was a dailrman in 1881.1891 and 1901 censuses. His son, William was my grandfather, who got the military medal at Pashendaele in WW1. William had 4 daughters, 1 living and 2 sons, one of whom dies as an infant, and the other is my dad, Peter, who will be 80 in Jan 2005. Peter was a wireless operator in RAF bomber command in WW2. He is marries to Kathleen Banyard who is also living. I was born in 1956, and have a son Andrew, born 1981
