Surnames: Marden Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UEB.2ACE/442 Message Board Post: enjamin Durrells household shows 3 Marden children ages 12, 16, 18 2 listed as laborer and servant. Sarah J is listed under the servant. I know there is a Sarah J Marden that married into the family and shows up in 1870 Census married into my ancestry to Leonard C Parsons. In the meantime the family above the durrells has also a Marden listed (18) as a laborer. The census is only 4 pages long and shows no other Mardens. We have been told that Sarah J Marden was full blooded Indian. Does anyone have any info as to where Sarah J's parents might have been in the 1860 Census? The other 3 Mardens listed on the page with her were: Aaron, Ruana, and John in another family.
