Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UEB.2ACE/389.1.1 Message Board Post: Dear Pamela: Thanks for your reply. No I don't know Mahala's maiden name. That is one of the bits of information I am looking for. I did have the census info from 1850, 1860, 1870, and 1880. A volunteer from Somerset County was so kind as to look that up for me. I would very much like to find out who Elbridge's and Mahala's parents are, but have come to a brick wall right now. I believe one of ther son's, Ferdinand is my great grandfather. But these census's are the only thing I have to go on. I can not find any birth or marriage records yet to verify. I have been recently told there are some old Pittsfield records in Augusta, which I may check out. The town of Pittsfield had a gap in their records due to a fire. That would be interesting if your Mahala matched up with mine. Please let me know if you ever find her and it turns out she married Elbridge, and I will try to do the same if I find my Mahala's maiden name. Perhaps between the both of us, we can solve some mysteries!
