    3. Del in Paso Robles, California (which is still quaking) I read your post, my Gilman line was in Bingham, Somerset County. You wouldn't happen to have Hon. David Gilman (aka Johathan Wiley) born 1796, who married Fannie Spofford born July 15, 1797? This David Gilman changed his name from Wiley to Gilman in 1827 according to the Maine Legislative Index, courtesy of the Maine State Archives located on rootsweb. David and Fannie had 13 children: Infant 1820-1820, Esther Jane 1821, Sarah 1823, Mary J. 1825, Able Ware 1826-1902, Hiram S. 1828, Silas 1830, David Jr. 1832, Leonard 1834, Fanny 1836, Charles 1837, Lucy 1839, Ester Ann 1842. My g-g-grandmother Mehitable Moody married David Gilman Jr. and her son Charles Moody Gilman was born in 1863 in Maine. Mehitable then married Able Ware and moved to Ames, Story, Iowa. Its a long story. I was wondering if we made a connection? Leona in Sonora, California leonag@mlode.com
