Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/UEB.2ACE/270.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I do know there was a John & David Welch living in Canaan about 1850.David Welch was married to Mary.Their son John married Emmerline Ramsdell daughter of Edward.So they are related that way but as to whether John & David Welch are related to Mariah Welch I cannot say for certain.Possibly they came from Old York at same time as the Ramsdell's as the 1790 Census does have 9 Welch persons as head there.
