Hello fellow listers - I am looking for birth information for ASA S. CARPENTER, born abt. 1808. He married twice, first to Sophia YOUNG, and then to her sister, Susanna(h) Wasgate YOUNG on 24 Apr 1838 in Charleston, Maine. He had 3 children with his first wife, Their names are William Alfred,CARPENTER, Zalora Eleazer CARPENTERand Hannah CARPENTER. He had 5 children with his second wife, Ezra Young CARPENTER, Henry CARPENTER, Susannah Carrie Carpenter SIMMONS, Carlos B. CARPENTER, and Orman Folsam CARPENTER. I have two census from Monson, Somerset County, 1830 with Asa and his wife, and 1840 with quite a larger family. I am wondering if Asa CARPENTER was born in the United States, or if he emigrated from England. I have no information on his parents or siblings, if there were any.
