Published by Picton Press. Our local library has 'em, and I'm almost sure Maine State Library has them. They may NOT give your ancestor, but there may be tidbits that weren't published that would help. The people who submit the info have their names included on the bottom of the submission; sometimes it includes e-mail. Always worth a shot to check those volumes.     3. I didn't realize that Tuttle was such a common surname - seems as if there were families all over Maine. I'm glad I'm only looking for the families of two woman - I wouldn't want to have to try to link all of the separate families together. I've also gone through the library. I looked up the library for Skowhegan, it's Skowhegan Free Public Library 9 Elm St Skowhegan Maine 04976 207-474-9072 The Maine Old Cemetery Association might be able to tell you where the cemetery is but they don't have information about individuals. They do have a board you can post on though. It's relatively new but may be worth a shot. Their address is http://www.rootsweb.com/~memoca/moca.htm Hope this helps

My gr gr gr grandfather and his brother purchase land in Somerset Co., Maine as follows: Somerset County Registry of Deeds: Vol 7: 126 Daniel Emerson of Waterville sold to Zacheus and Nehemiah Spear both of Bloomfield 93 acres for $400. 1 May 1816 On 1814 tax list of Bloomfield (Skowhegan) with brother Zacheus. In 1820 Census of Waterville. Brother Nehemiah went to Morgan Co., Ohio. Name on daughter's death certificate is Zachariah. I know that there was an Ebenezer Tuttle who married Nancy Hart in Fairfield 1796 (I believe they lived in Canaan), Wentworth Tuttle who Eliz Wyman 1805 Fairfield and then there was my James Tuttle from NH b. 1774 NH (lived in Skowhegan), but I can not place Sophia or Maria in either family. Always a genealogical mystery to solve.
