His wife's (Sarah) maiden name was KEMP. Sarah's brother, William, served in the American Revolution and died in 1797 before claiming his bounty land. Inasmuch as William died without a spouse or children and his and Sarah's parents were dead, Sarah Adams (wife of Amos) of Norridgewock, Maine was declared his heir-at-law and awarded his land bounty. Sarah died in Norridgewock on 29 Jan 1830. The following year Amos -- then age 80 -- married a widow by the name of Mrs Sarah Hacket who was "nearly the same age." I recently found out due to kindness from another member, that the Marriage Certificate between David Perkins and Sarah McGrath shows them getting married 03 Oct. 1833 at E.P. Plantation, Somerset County, Maine. Can anyone tell me which township this comes under, and where can I request a copy of the certificate.
