    1. [MESOMERS] Richard LEWIS,1795-1798-MA to ME?
    2. Renee Harris
    3. Am trying to find proof that these Richard Lewis's are the same: * Richard LEWIS, b. 13 Oct 1795 of Dennis(Yarmouth),Barnstable,MA, son of David Lewis & Phebe CROWELL & g'son of Elnathan Lewis. * Another Richard LEWIS shows up in the China, Kennebec, Maine in 1830 Census. In the 1850 Hartland, Somerset, ME Census he is listed as being born 1798 in Massachusetts. His wives were 1)Azubah Hardy, md. Mar 1826 in China and had children Geo.Wash.Lewis,b.1827, Jesse Martin Lewis,b.1829 and dau. Emely CROWELL Lewis,b.1832, all in China. Married 2nd wife Hannah ? and they had children: Otis Wesley Lewis, 1833, Thomas J. Lewis, 1835-1860, and Sarah D.Lewis, 1837. I think Richard died about 1875 in Hartland, Somerset,ME. He The fact that Richard named his first daughter, Emely Crowell Lewis makes me think that this unusual middle name was given to her in memory of Richard's mother' maiden name. Any thoughts?? Thank you. Renee Harris
