I obtained a copy of the marriage certificate showing Horace was on his third marriage when he married Barbara, & that he was widowed. Horace according to the census info was one of ten children born to James & Dorcus Fish Quimby from Starks, ME. I'm wondering if they might be buried with Horace's siblings & parents. Does anyone know what cemetery all the Quimby's are located in? The children I have are Mary, Jonathon, Horace, Sarah, Elijah, Roscoe, Harvey & James. From the family info given to me, Horace & Barbara had at least one child & she died during childbirth. I found one census with Horace having a son Harvey. I'm not sure if that was a previous child or one from their marriage & that they had two with one dying during the birth. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks

Am interested in whatever anyone has on a William Raymond from Middleborough, Mass. and later Wayne, Maine, who, according to Ann Raymond (mailto: Rgraymond@aol.com): > "According to the age he gave in his Rev War pension application he > was born > in 1756. He seems to be > unrelated > (directly anyway) to the two other Somerset Co Raymond families. > Meltiah and > Thomas Raymond were both sons of William Raymond of Wayne, ME. There > may be an > indirect connection as William's Rev War Pension papers say he was > born in Middleborough also. > No one has yet, as far as I know, found his parents. > I have not done any research on Joseph or his family, but I have seen > others > on the Raymond mailing list at Rootsweb who do. > Ann" He may be father/uncle to my Joseph L. Raymond of Middleborough, born ca. 1772 who died in Solon, Somerset County, Maine in 1842. My Joseph married Deborah (probably Deborah Lewis [1]) and had children Joseph L.(Jr.), George Washington, Melvina, Abigail and Deborah that I know of. In 1870 Horace and Hannah and Sewell are all together as you'd expect to find them so no reason to post that one...a door or two away is a John and Lorena Dunlap, about 10 years older then Amos... 1860... Amos Dunlap, 41, ME Hannah 39 ME Harvey, 17, ME Samuel 15 ME Henry 13 ME Sewell 9 ME Laforest 5 ME right next door is this family... William Dunlap 65 (?? the age is a little tough to read) ME Mary 55 ME Sanford 21 ME Horace 17 ME Mary 16 ME citation:Year: 1860; Census Place: Ripley, Somerset, Maine; Roll: M653_452; Page: 0; Image: 469. Now that sort of weird huh ? William at age 65 or so would seem a better choice for a father...but no way to know for sure from this...by the way, in the 1870 census this William was still alive living with is son Sanford I can find no OTHER Horace in ME... In 1850 Amos is still in Ripley...Hannah is there along with children James, Samuel and Henry. Again, there is NO Horace of the same age as the 1880 census suggested... ok...last piece for you... at the following page ther eis a contatc source for Dulaps in Somerset County,...perhaps that person has more info for you... http://www.rootsweb.com/~mesomers/surtable.htm good luck ! Hi, I am looking for any information on George W. Emery b. around 1860?....He was m. to Laura A. Henderson (VR say she is from Oakfield, Maine but another Record says N. New Portland) I am also looking for any information on George Morris Emery/Morris Emery or George Maurice Emery b.1881 and He was m. 1. Mildred Smith ch. of Frost W. Smith and Esther Huntington of Augusta 2. Annie Ferris Moore m. and lived in Bath, Maine and 3. Elvira Butters Brady or Elvira Brady Butters and they lived in Bath and possibly Harpswell. George Morris Emery was b. 1881 and d. 1952. I am trying very hard to find out who his Father was and where my GGGrandmother Laura Henderson Emery went. I have one marriage record that says by 1903 she is living in Somerville, Mass. Any information on any of these people would be very helpful.....even if it's only a long shot.....Do you have an Emery line in Augusta or North Anson in the late 1800's? They could be my missing Emery's. Thanks, Marci
