I recently found out that Rosalind (BUXTON) MERRITT is my great-great grandmother, and wanted to know if any of you recognize her. Rosalind (Roxaline in some records) was born in Louisiana ca 1820. She was the daughter of Alexander BUXTON and Ariminta GOWEN. She was living in Liberty, TX by 1850 with husband Robert (or Daniel) MERRITT. Children they had were: (1) Hiram b. 1846, (2) Austin b. 1850, (3) Cornelia b. ca 1857. Maybe two other children [Cynthia and Daniel]. One affidavit I have shows she was alive in 1906, still in Liberty. Thx, Bill Penny MN
