This list came to me without the authors name. I am getting credit and I would love to thank the author. Liz There is possibly one more rule suggested by a Sloan cousin and one that just occured to me: (14) In obituary notices make no reference to the parents of the deceased or to sisters, brothers, aunts or uncles. (15) When you fill out your social security card information, do not list your parents correct names, use a nickname or do not list at all. This list could be expanded by exasperated family historians. An old TV show started out "There are 8 million stories..." After 20 years of searching I just found my half-brother 2 months ago!
