Looking for the parentage of Wm. H. MARIOTT/MERRIT who was born 1820 in Maryland. He would move to Kentucky where he would marry Matilda FERRELL by abt 1838. By 1850 he is found in Randolph Co., AR. Matida's family was found in Hickman and then Fulton Co., KY. There is a B.B. MARIOTT next door to Matilda father [Bynum FERRILL], but B.B. is same age as Wm. H. I have checked all of the census at ancestry.com for all MARIOTT/MERRITT.. with all the spellings one can imagine. Cannot find any household with male or female old enough to be parent to my William Henderson MARIOTT/MERIT.. Any help in narrowing this mess down is appreciated.
